ActiveSync Configurations [an error occurred while processing this directive] The following are diagrams of different options for using ActiveSync: Serial Communications (115,200 bits per second) Requires a serial port and cable. This is compatible with the Handheld PC, H/PC Pro, H/PC 2000, Palm-size PC, and Pocket PC.
USB Communications (approximately 1 million bits per second) Requires a Pocket PC, H/PC 2000 with USB Support.
Infrared (IrDA) (115,200 bits per second) No cables required. A Laptop with IrDA or a PC with an adapter like the Jeteye PC. This is compatible with the Handheld PC and Palm-size PC.
Modem (33,600 bits per second) Requires a modem on both ends. This is compatible with the Handheld PC, H/PC Pro, H/PC 2000, Palm-size PC, and Pocket PC.
Ethernet (10,000,000 bits per second)/Wireless (1,000,000 bits per second) Requires Ethernet cards and a hub or cross over cable. The Handheld PC, H/PC Pro, H/PC 2000, Palm-size PC, and Pocket PC. Ethernet card must be NE 2000 compatible like the Socket Communications LP-E card is. Wireless options include Proxim which works with Ethernet.
Windows NT/2000 Server with RAS - Intranet/Internet (33,600 bits per second) (See both the Ethernet FAQ and Remote ActiveSync FAQ) Requires Ethernet cards, hub or cross over cable, modems and Windows NT/2000 Server. This is compatible with the Handheld PC, H/PC Pro, H/PC 2000, Palm-size PC, and Pocket PC Ethernet with Windows NT/2000 Server (10,000,00 bits per second) Requires Ethernet cards and a hub or cross over cable and Windows NT/2000 Server. This is compatible with the Handheld PC, H/PC Pro, H/PC 2000, Palm-size PC, and Pocket PC
