I was given one of these to repair after the user set a password but could not remember it. After emailing the company Inkia I was told to press f4 to enter safe mode, press my computer, press docs and settings, delete password or change it. I cant find a password in the folder. I am not sure what I have done but it will now not boot. It just hangs at the windows CE screen. Does anybody know how I can rest the device.

The normal solution would be to reflash the ROM with a fresh ROM image. But it doesn't look like Inkia has one available online. I'd suggest e-mailing them again. Tell them what happened, and ask if they have a ROM image that you can download.

Hi,
There should be a way to perform a hard reset which brings it back to the factory specifications. The steps to perform the hard reset are manufacturer specific however they should be covered in the manual. So I would ask for the manual in PDF format.
