I couldnīt believe when I recently discovered PocketDOS for my SE Xperia after having succesfully tried DosBox on my old HTC Touch. Following all the tutorial steps on this site, Iīve successfully installed FreeDOS so Iīm now running a few games on my Xperia and one thing I love about PocketDOS is the zoom ability which lets you play full screen (something not easy to achieve with the Xperiaīs high resolution). However, I have just a couple of problems I would really appreciate being solved. First one is the hardware keyboard which the Xperia has. Could somebody tell me which configuration I have to put on the PocketDOS settings in order to make all hardware keys coincide with a real PCīs? Because some coincide like shift or enter but others donīt. Or do I have to map all keys every time I play a game?? Also, when I had DosBox on my HTC Touch (201 mhz performance), old games like Another World ran pretty smoothly. However, it quite shocked me when I ran it on the 528 mhz Xperia and it was painfully slow. Could somebody also explain which are the best settings so everything runs pretty smoothly?? Thanks a lot in advance!
Due to limitations in the Windows CE/Mobile operating system, it is necessary to manually customise the keyboard settings to match your actual device's keyboard. You can do this via the "Settings->Keyboard->Mapping" menu item in PocketDOS. Once you've set this up, the settings will be saved, so you will only need to do this initially.
Please read this topic for more information on running games (well) under PocketDOS.
