Dear PocketDOS users,

We would like to add a built-in keymap for the Samsung BlackJack II device to PocketDOS. In order to do this we need to get some information from a user who has or wishes to use PocketDOS on this device.

The information we need is:

1) The value of the "OEM Info" field in the system information displayed by PocketDOS. You can display this information by selecting the "Help->System Information" item from the PocketDOS menu.

2) The output of the SETKEY SHOW command for the following keys:

<Fn>
<1>
<2>
<3>
<4>
<5>
<6>
<7>
<8>
<9>
<0>
<*>
<#>
<Shift>/<Caps>
<,>/<!>
<.>/<">

To provide accurate information, please follow these steps:

2.1) Select "Settings->Keyboard->Options" from the PocketDOS menu.
2.2) Enable the "Enable text entry mode" option.
2.3) Press the "Done" button to save the setting.
2.4) Select "Settings->Keyboard->Mapping" from the PocketDOS menu.
2.5) Select "Reset key mappings" from the menu.
2.6) Confirm by pressing the "Yes" button.
2.7) Press the "OK" button to save the setting.
2.8) If not already in text entry mode, press the left softkey until you see a text entry field in the place of the left softkey text.
2.9) Type SETKEY SHOW and press the <Enter> or <Action> key twice.
2.10) Press the left softkey or type EXITEDIT to exit text entry mode.
2.11) Press the left softkey until the left softkey text reads "Keyboard".

Please provide us with this information ASAP so that we can incorporate the keymap for this device into PocketDOS v1.12.2.

Thank you for your input.

1) "OEM Info" = SGH-i617

2) The output of the SETKEY SHOW command for the following keys:

For the below, if I press Fn or Shift first, I get different results until I cycle back o "Keyboard" input mode.

Here the the following results with cycling back to "Keyboard" input mode after pressing FN

<Fn> = 144 (then I cycle back to "keyboard" input mode)
<1> = 49
<2> = 50
<3> = 51
<4> = 52
<5> = 53
<6> = 54
<7> = 55
<8> = 56
<9> = 57
<0> = 48
<*> = 119
<#> = 120
<Shift>/<Caps> = 16 (I get the same results for "," and "." wether I cycle back to "Keyboard" or not)
<,>/<!> = 188
<.>/<"> = 190

Here are the results without cycling after FN (also get the same results by pressing shift at the beginning.

<Fn> = 144
<1> = 69
<2> = 82 (also cycles zoom -- like pressing "call")
<3> = 84
<4> = 68
<5> = 70
<6> = 71
<7> = 88
<8> = 67
<9> = 86
<0> = 48
<*> = 83
<#> = 66
<Shift>/<Caps> = 16
<,>/<!> = 188
<.>/<"> = 190

I hope that helps and I would be glad to beta test a new keyboard mapping for BlackJack 2! Please note that I plan to upgrade to WM6.1 when it's available for my device. I don't know if that will affect the key codes.
