Has anyone got any idea why Microdrives in PDA's are so troublesome. I've bought 2 recently and neither worked.
I tried a Hitachi 4GB in a HP iPAQ hx4700 and it wouldn't work, although at least the OS recognised it as it was giving me an error message suggesting I should enter the path to the driver.
But the Seagate ST1 5GB I tried was absolutely dead.
Why are microdrives so troublesome in PDA's?

You have to ask Hitachi about their decision to be incompatible. They know what it takes to be compatible because the original MicroDrives were. _________________ Chris De Herrera
