How often? Is there a pattern of power-on cycles? Does it happen every 5 minutes, for instance? Or does it only happen at midnight, which is the normal notification queue checking behavior?

If it is a frequent repeating pattern, then I'd guess it's Activesync trying to synch on a schedule with a PC. Open Activesync on the PPC and go into the options, and de-select any and all scheduled items.

And please do not cross-post the same exact question on multiple forums. I have deleted your second posting on this question. It serves no purpose to place it in several places on the same site. Choose a forum for a particular question and post there, thank you.

Blue LED huh? Your device has Bluetooth? Are you sure synching by Bluetooth is not enabled and scheduled? If not, then I am out of ideas and wish you luck. I'd suggest you make a full backup, preferably with Sprite but using the internal backup to CF might be okay (I think that model uses a licensed version of Sprite Backup anyway) and then doing a hard reset and see if it persists. If it does not, then do a partial restore if needed, or rebuild from scratch. A hard reset of an iPAQ is usually done by pressing the outer two of the four buttons at the same time, then while holding them pressing the stylus into the soft reset hole.

Best of luck with this annoying problem. If soft resets or hard resets fail to fix it, the unit may be defective.
