Forgive me, I'm an engineering professional, but .....

Is there any chance of screen shots of the following features, if they exist, all of which were in Excel 97 and would have been nice selling points in Pocket Excel since the first CE clamshells:

- XY Scatter Graphs
- Data validation with drop down lists
- Goal Seek or, even better, Solver
- Basic user defined function support, I have 15 year old DOS progs running from floppy that have this.
- Support for named ranges.
- Tools>Options>Calculation>Iteration
- etc, power user functionality of any kind

I don't expect all of the above but I'd have thought that the power and capacity of the modern Pocket PC is sufficient to host Excel functionality up to at least Excel 97 standard? Or am I asking too much?

Perhaps you'd consider looking into Softmaker.de's Planmaker? Or ByeDesign's SpreadCE? Advanced functions for cheap, compared to buying MS Excel for a PC.
