Hello & thanks in advance for any help in resolving this issue.
I own a pocket pc with windows mobile 2003(version 4.20.0(build 14053)
My unit is a Navman pin 100(mio-digiwalker)(model No.Mio 168)(pda/gps)
I want to move to a more recent mapping program. The one I'm considering is the Delormie earthmate GPS-BT-20. I phoned the Co. and according to them it will run on windows mobile 2003 2nd Edition.
My version indicates I have the standard edition but I'm confused because the build # is a later # than the 2nd. Edition build #.
So, My question is 1: Do I need the 2nd. Ed., 2: Do I have it now & not know it. 3: If I need to upgrade, where do I go to get it & how do I upgrade it. Hope someone out there can guide me in my direction. I really like this unit & don't have any desire buying something new. Thanks, Mike

Hi,
The developer may require Windows Mobile 2003 SE instead of Windows Mobile 2003. They are the final arbiter for their application.
As for an upgrade, the upgrades are only available from your OEM. However all 2003 Second Edition upgrade have been discontinued for a long time - that was offered about 4 years ago. _________________ Chris De Herrera

I can't believe it but I found the upgrade here:http://www.efsoft.it/romforpdappc.htm
I'm moving slowly so I seekout some info on this. Thanks
Update: It appears that its an update for 2003-SE, I'm bummed However from what I have gathered the main improvement for SE was the ability to view horizontally. I'm going to see what the return policy of Delormie is before I buy.

I would suggest using SpreadCE or Softmaker's Planmaker, either of which should allow you to view your spreadsheets un-converted on the Windows Mobile device.

I have ActiveSync 3.8, and in that version, this is handled under Options -> Rules -> Conversion Settings -> Desktop to Device. I don't know if ActiveSync 4.5 works the same way, but there should be similar controls.
