Natively, I think there is no way offered in the OS applications. A registry editor might allow you to view it, but this is awkward. Cambridge Software - cam.com - offers 'vxIPConfig' for free, and it does an almost adequate job of releasing and renewing IP assignments, and of course shows the currently assigned IP. I have found it sometimes failing however, with some addresses being 'sticky' for unknown reasons.
So it was a pleasure when at our last local user group meeting, another member introduced PocketDHCP. This is also a freeware - with the option to make donations. It offers considerably more information all in one view, and is very effective in releasing/renewing assigned IP addresses in every instance I have tested so far.
