Off-Planet Comics has released its new online sci-fi e-zine "Galactic SIGNAL" for Pocket PCs and Palm Powered handheld devices. The colorful publication is free of charge and new issues debut every other Monday. "We saw a lack of science fiction web content on Avant Go and decided to do something about it," said Nitram Q. Kram, Editor in Chief of the 3 month old publication. Issue number 6 was just uploaded this week.

The Signal is a mixture of outlandish editorial, original artwork, irreverent reviews and alien humor in the guise of a newsletter "created by aliens, for aliens". Following a clean and colorful layout, it has been designed from the ground-up for the PDA audience. Signal is sure to put a wry smirk on your face, even if you disagree with the editor's political rantings.

You can sync your handheld device to receive Off-Planet SIGNAL by visiting www.off-planet.com and clicking on the Avant Go icon at the home page. The e-zine has a homebrew feeling to it; humans and non-humans alike are encouraged to contribute stories, articles and artwork. It looks like the extraterrestrial gang from Off-Planet have done a "big bang-up" job by filling a gap in Avant Go's tech-heavy channel lineup.
