Article: Office 2007 FAQs - How to configure the default save format for Excel, Word and PowerPoint Recently Microsoft sent Office 2007 to manufacturing. So I began some testing with it. I found that there are changes to the default save file format to allow you to open Office files on your Windows Mobile 2003, Windows Mobile 2003 SE or Windows Mobile 5.0 device. Please note that Pocket Office formats (.PXL and .PWD) are not supported. So here are the FAQs on how to change the default file save formats to be compatible with your Windows Mobile device. To sync with Office 2007, you need to use Windows Mobile Device Center for Vista and ActiveSync 4.5 (currently in beta) for Windows XP and 2000. FAQ Pages:
